The FireProtect Plus smart smoke and heat detector with CO sensor alerts you to dangerous levels of smoke, the presence of CO, and a sudden rise in temperature, even in the absence of smoke. The detector detects smoke using an infrared emitter and a photodetector. These components are housed in a special smoke chamber. If smoke particles enter the chamber, the photodetector detects a distortion in the infrared light. If there is a lot of smoke, the distortion of the light increases, and the detector sends an alarm signal to the Ajax Hub smart control panel, triggering an alarm via the siren.
