The detector works with the wireless device module designed for the PulsonAlarm 2.0 4G system.

It is a wireless infrared motion detector utilising dual detection technology comprising PIR and microwave sensors. The microwave sensor is activated solely to confirm a detection triggered by the PIR motion sensor, ensuring accurate detection even in areas with significant thermal interference, such as those with active air conditioning units or fireplaces. Thanks to their elegant design, the sensors will suit any space. Installation is simplified thanks to wireless connectivity and the SmartBracket mounting bracket, whilst remote configuration eliminates the need for an on-site visit to resolve minor issues.

How it works

The Ajax MotionProtect Plus wireless motion detector is designed to detect human movement within a protected area. The detector features adjustable sensitivity and is immune to pets weighing up to 20 kg and standing up to 50 cm tall.

The detector’s operating principle is based on detecting the infrared (IR) radiation emitted by every living being. Every living being, including humans, is a source of infrared radiation. As soon as the detector detects such radiation, it analyses the weight of the living object, and if it exceeds 20 kg, it sends an alarm signal to the central alarm unit via a radio channel. A special algorithm for processing the received signal provides additional verification of the object based on its mass and the presence of movement, in order to minimise false alarms caused by moving pets. In this way, the detector is triggered only when it detects human movement. Furthermore, the detector does not react to the movement of inanimate objects. If, for example, a jacket falls off a coat hook in a room, or if a draught opens an internal door, the detector will not react.

Additional K-band microwave sensor

The K-band microwave sensor scans the room, minimising false alarms triggered by thermal interference. Working in conjunction with the PIR sensor, it uses microwave technology solely to verify the PIR sensor’s alarm. Unlike traditional X-band sensors, the K-band sensor offers increased precision and excellent energy efficiency. This ensures minimal impact on battery life and significantly fewer false alarms. Furthermore, the sensor is completely safe and poses no risk to human health.

The detector is equipped with an efficient wireless communication system that uses message encryption and anti-tamper protection. This ensures excellent protection of the alarm signal against hacking attempts. Furthermore, the detector features a state-of-the-art, highly reliable communication system that enables it to operate effectively across several floors of a business centre or at a distance of up to 2,000 metres in open terrain from the control panel.

The detector is fully compatible with the wired CA “Łuń” control panels, version 11, model 2, via the Ajax ocBridge, Ajax ocBridge Plus and Ajax uartBridge wireless detector controllers. It is now possible to connect up to 45 second-generation Ajax wireless devices. For previously purchased CA “Łuń” version 11, model 2, designed to support Ajax devices, the alarm control panel’s firmware must be updated to version 57 or higher, and the “Lind” keypad to version 36 or later.

This wireless motion detector can be used to protect various premises: flats, private homes, holiday homes, offices, shops, warehouses, production facilities, etc. An advantage of this detector is its convenient and very easy self-installation using a smart mounting bracket; the user does not need to dismantle the detector during installation. Given that the motion detector is one of the most popular alarm components, this is a significant advantage of this device.

Functions and features

Installing the detector using the smart mounting bracket is very convenient and will not damage the room after refurbishment;

The detector regularly sends test signals to the control panel, and the polling interval for the detectors can be adjusted as required. Should anyone attempt to steal or damage the detector, the alarm system’s control panel will immediately detect this and trigger an alarm;

To ensure reliable monitoring of the detector’s operation, it systematically transmits a signal indicating its battery charge level to the control panel; the user will be immediately informed when the detector’s battery needs replacing;

The information transmitted by the detector is adequately protected against interception and tampering;

The maximum distance between the detector and the central unit is 1,700 metres (under line-of-sight conditions);

The detector uses the general-purpose 868 MHz frequency for signal transmission, which does not require a licence;

The detector detects movement from a distance of 14 m, with a horizontal detection angle of 88.5°;

It is immune to pets weighing up to 20 kg and measuring up to 50 cm;

The detector does not react to accidental movement of inanimate objects;

The detector’s sensitivity can be adjusted. You can select the optimum sensitivity depending on the size of the animal that will be in the room;

Adaptive transmission power control, depending on the distance from the central unit, enables significantly lower battery consumption;
